Asset Manager

Stirling (FK7 7XE) or The Green House (DG7 3XS)

The Role

Responsible for the provision of asset management support to the department on operational renewable energy projects and other related projects, specifically enacting the role of the primary interface with the Client and ensuring the correct delivery of site management services contracts for designated projects.

Duties and responsibilities associated with the role include:

  • Participate in the adoption and integration of new projects.
  • Maintain a full and detailed understanding of designated contracts for Natural Power’s scope of services and that of other service providers (including OEMs).
  • Ensure clear communication of contract deliverables to relevant staff.
  • Monitor contractual compliance by all parties.
  • Participate in contract review and performance review meetings.
  • Monitor commercial performance of projects.
  • Participate in project budgeting, profitability reviews and analysis.
  • Maintain IFS sales contract modules.
  • Ensure that invoicing is complete, accurate and timely.
  • Enact the role of primary point of contact for designated clients, ensuring timely and suitably detailed responses to queries.
  • Liaise with internal departments, co-ordinating inputs in support of service delivery
  • Routinely review the performance of designated projects and investigate any performance issues, communicating with the client and liaising with internal departments to identify, recommend or implement solutions.
  • Identify inspection and maintenance requirements.
  • Develop operation, inspection and maintenance strategies.
  • Upkeep of maintenance records.
  • Maintain and monitor maintenance budget.
  • Participate in work planning in conjunction with project stakeholders.
  • Review inspection and maintenance reports and act upon any issues that are identified (e.g. defects, trends, etc.).
  • Perform engineering risk reviews/plant status reviews to identify contingencies and critical spares requirements.
  • Enact the role of project manager for any major corrective works.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in asset management strategies for renewable energy projects and implement as applicable.
  • Ensure that clients are promptly notified of any safety issues or events that are of operational significance.
  • Check and approve monthly reports.
  • The post holder will be required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be expected. 
  • Duties of the post could vary from time to time as a result of new legislation, changes in technology or policy.  In this event, appropriate training will be provided.


  • Qualified to HNC/HND level in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role with a current knowledge of HSEQ legislation.
  • Extensive client and stakeholder engagement experience with the ability to understand the priorities of both and effectively manage expectations.
  • Previous contract and budgetary maintenance responsibility
  • Highly organised, detail orientated with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate across all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills to enable clear and concise information to be effectively communicated to colleagues, clients and 3rd parties in both written and verbal format.
  • Due to the nature of the role it is required that applicants have a valid driving licence.
  • Qualified to Degree level in a relevant discipline.
  • Valid IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of wind turbine and other renewable energy technologies
  • Previous experience working within the renewable energy industry

The Green House:  We are based in an environmentally friendly office in an 11,000-acre forest, allowing immediate access to outdoor activities, such as; running, cycling, dog walking (kennels on site), golf, clay pigeon shooting and Loch Ken sailing centre nearby.  The Green House is one hour and forty minutes from drive from Glasgow and fifty minutes from Ayr and Dumfries, as such you must be committed to working in this area.
