Senior Account Manager

Stirling or The Green House

The position can be based from The Green House in rural Dumfries and Galloway (DG73XS) or from Ochil House, Stirling (FK7 7XE).

Natural Power is a leading independent renewable energy consultancy and products provider offering consultancy, management and due diligence services across the onshore wind, offshore wind, wave, tidal and biomass sectors.  We have built a successful ethos for delivering environmentally rewarding projects that allow Clients to achieve their economic objectives.

The Role

Providing leadership and direction to the Account Management team and a consistent high quality approach to understanding our clients and their specific drivers, leading to an increase in opportunities and revenue into the business.

Duties and responsibilities associated with the role include:

  • Development and delivery of Global BD strategy
  • Coordinated strategic approach to relationship development
  • Manage cross departmental representation throughout the business
  • Ownership of defined account management portfolio
  • Joint ownership of accounts with relevant operational staff and coordination of this
  • Fully understand the full range of services and sales proposition for Natural Power
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with delivery team
  • Support commercial approach to bids and client delivery
  • Identification of new opportunities through market intelligence and networking
  • Day to day management of the Account Management team
  • Mentor and develop team members where required
  • Training and development for continual improvement data
  • Duties of the post could vary from time to time as a result of new legislation, changes in technology or policy.  In this event, appropriate training will be provided.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree qualified in Business Management or other relevant discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role with a proven ability to identify new clients and effectively cultivate our existing relationships
  • Previous experience of Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Significant leadership experience coupled with a solid background in client account management
  • Strategic, highly organised with exceptional communication skills to be able to establish the needs of our internal and external clients with the ability to convey information concisely in both written and verbal format

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within the renewables industry
  • Experience of embedding effective training for internal staff development

The Green House:  We are based in an environmentally friendly office in an 11,000-acre forest, allowing immediate access to outdoor activities, such as; running, cycling, dog walking (kennels on site), golf, clay pigeon shooting and Loch Ken sailing centre nearby.  The Green House is one hour and forty minutes from drive from Glasgow and fifty minutes from Ayr and Dumfries, as such you must be committed to working in this area.
