Natural Power is a leading independent renewable energy consultancy and products provider offering consultancy, management and due diligence services across the onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, wave, tidal and biomass sectors.  We have built a successful ethos for delivering environmentally rewarding projects that allow our clients to reach their economic objectives.

The Role

To help shape the Natural Power brand, working collaboratively with the design and marketing team to meet the demands of the rest of the business.  From global campaigns and presentation of technical papers to sales documents, this role will be involved in a variety of projects.  It will also fulfil the role of brand guardian, making sure that Natural Power’s tone of voice is clear and consistent wherever in the world it works.

Duties and responsibilities associated with the role include:

  • Familiarise yourself with your the target audience and their competitors' activities
  • Liaise with internal clients and interpret their briefs
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the Marketing team
  • Present ideas to the Marketing Manager for approval and development and then to your clients
  • Write clear, persuasive, original copy through the various iterations of the project
  • Proofread copy to check spelling and grammar
  • Ensure all copy is written with Natural Power’s tone of voice
  • Amend, revise or redevelop adverts or campaigns in response to feedback from the Marketing team or clients
  • Ensure copywriting projects are seen through to completion
  • Work on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines
  • Liaise with designers and printers
  • Keep up to date with popular culture and trends within the industry
  • Work with the Campaign Manager to monitor the effectiveness of external campaigns


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in English, Journalism or relevant subject
  • Demonstrable experience of creative and engaging copy writing
  • Detail orientated with strong proof reading skills
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Skilled influencer with the ability to present across all levels within the business
  • Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to prioritise effectively and adjust to changing methods and objectives



  • Understanding of SEO, social media and content marketing
  • Experience of technical copy writing
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in renewables energy and a desire to help create a better environment

The Green House:  We are based in an innovative and environmentally friendly office in an 11,000-acre forest, allowing immediate access to outdoor activities in the Galloway hills, as well as a local environment which offers a beautiful landscape and excellent quality of life.  The Green House is one hour and forty minutes from drive from Glasgow and fifty minutes from Ayr and Dumfries, as such you must be committed to working in this fantastic area.
